About the Book

From Aberdeen Butteries to Donegal Cream, from Black Bun to Soda Bread and from Irish Toffee to Scottish Dainties, this is a collection of traditional and favourite recipes from all parts of Scotland and Ireland.

Many of us who were born and raised in Scotland and Ireland like to remember their years growing up in the Celtic countries, and in particular, a favourite meal or treat they enjoyed many years ago.

It is estimated that there are more Scots and Irish living abroad than at home. For more than two hundred years they have been colonising the world. There is a Celtic connection in nearly every country, and all have benefited from these hardy pioneers.

More and more people are taking an interest in their ancestors and their culture. This collection of traditional Scottish and Irish recipes may give you a taste of the old countries.
