About the Author

Dennis C. Orvis, an avid golfer, retired from organization management in 1983. He was born in Iowa. He was very active in the Jaycee and Rotary Clubs for many years. He served Chambers of Commerce in Iowa, Indiana and Massachusetts. With his wife, he has traveled all 50 states, Mexico and six countries in Europe and all provinces of Canada except Labrador.

He started writing stories for his six grandchildren in 1983. He has written nearly 50 stories of fiction, two dozen non-fiction items including his biography. He is currently writing a book of poetry.
