About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information About the Book
Horses and Chariots of Fire is a study of the Biblical angels, seraphim, cherubim, demons, and Satan, all spirit beings created by God in the beginning. Non-Biblical sightings are not mentioned. Many popular and traditional beliefs are shown not to have any authoritative support in the Scriptures, which are the only trustworthy source of information about these spirits. Included is a thorough discussion of the names of the various kinds of spirit beings, their functions, and their descriptions.
The reader will find a fresh, Biblical viewpoint on the temptation of Eve in the Garden of Eden, Satan's part in that temptation, and the curse God placed on Satan because of what he did. This book gives the Scripture references that support the writer's beliefs in the text where the discussions are found so the reader can judge the strength of each discussion. Where the writer holds an opinion different from traditional teaching, the Scriptures refuting the usual view are likewise given in the text.
Many questions are fully discussed; do angels have wings? Do they sing? Is Satan a fallen angel? Do angels have sexuality? What is Satan's kingdom like, and how is it different from God's kingdom? Do we have guardian angels? And what kind of bodies do angels have? Every chapter is packed with much Biblical information about the celestial created spirit beings. This book is a commentary on angelology.
