About the Author

The author, James L. Fiore, Jr., Ph.D. is 68 years old. He served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas as a commissioned officer during the very early years of the U.S. surface-to-air missile program. He is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he attended Holy Rosary School, from kindergarten through the eighth grade. He attended the James J. Ferris High School, and then Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
Although Newtown is his mailing address, he actually lives in Upper Makefield Township outside Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania at the top South slope of Jericho Mountain. He is an active Freemason and past Master of Mercer Lodge No. 50 in Trenton, New Jersey.
He earned his Bachelors Degree in 1957. In 1972 he earned a Masters Degree in Accounting and statistics and then received his Ph.D. Business Administration in 1979.
A practicing Public Accountant, he also had a professional speaking career, traveling throughout the United States and Europe, and even to Bogota, Columbia. He has been semi-retired since December, 1980 and has decided to commit to the written page his experience in college teaching, motivating, and encouraging entrepreneurial efforts over the years of his very active career.
He has published articles in professional journals, prepared, and marketed professional cassette series entitled Financial Planning for College Students, and Tactical Goal Planning, has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting, auditing, business startup and operation, tactical goal planning, and personal motivation, and continuing education courses for professional license renewal.
