About the Book

Dr. Strong and Sweet Potatoes is the first book of Dr. Strong's nutrition series for kids. Every parent has experienced a child who doesn't want to try certain vegetables. The author has experienced the same thing with his children and subsequently came up with Dr. Strong (a lion) who helps children to learn the benefits of eating their vegetables. The author was able to convince his very reluctant children to try vegetables they had previously refused to eat by telling them Dr. Strong stories. The author also wishes to help pre-schoolers learn about basic nutrition so they can form healthy eating habits early.

About the Author

Yori Takeda is the father of two boys and has been working in the health and fitness industry since 1992. He started his career as a personal fitness trainer and is now serving as COO of a natural product manufacturing company. The author feels it is his mission to promote pro-active healthcare, rather than re-active. Mr. Takeda dedicates this first Dr. Strong story to his parents.
