About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

After you chose the species of fish you are looking for, you have to find the fish and try different techniques, patterns and presentations to catch the fish. It helps to have the knowledge, it means more enjoyment. If the weather is sunny or cloudy and the water is clear or murky, presentation slow, medium, fast, or stop and go, and water calm or choppy; all this is called paying attention to detail. When you can do all this, good fishing awaits the angler. Matching your rod, reel, line and the right lure to imitate the bait, this is called matching the hatch. Having a shore lunch and enjoying spectacular scenery with your friends can bring lasting memories.

Fishing in the wilderness may sometimes cause a survival situation. There is a section on survival which I hope will be helpful. I am certain this book will bring you more knowledge in catching fish.

About the Author

I, Joe Martin, reside in northern Ontario and have been fishing for 35 years.

When I started fishing I had to choose and find the fish then try different presentations to catch the fish.

The different techniques and patterns which I used are in this book.

I am sure this book will bring you more knowledge in catching fish.

Special thanks: To the Lord above and to my agent and special friend C. McFarlane who was very instrumental in putting this book together.
