About the Book

The book or story is from memory, what happened to the kitten is true. In writing the story the author is trying to stress the fact that children should listen to their parents because the parents do not want their children to get hurt, also that the children’s grandparents love them too!



About the Author

Mildred Agnes Kammritz was born in 1920 in Wassiac, New York, Irish immigrant parents. Her strong Roman Catholic upbringing, along with her romantic, unflinching belief in the power of love, is reflected in most of her writings.

Her gift for writing was recognized early in her life when she was named Class Poet in her senior year of high school. Later in life, one of her poems was published by the International Society of Poets in their book entitled Secret Hiding Places.
