About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

This book is about pirates and their treasure, and the islands visited in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Little has been known, or written, about these early day ships, and the scoundrels that sailed them. Pirates, of course, were known throughout the world in such places as the Caribbean, Atlantic shores of America, Mediterranean Sea, Africa, and Western Pacific, and much as been written about them, including many movies, but very little about the Pacific shores of New Spain, in North and South America.

About the Author

Tom Elliott was born and raised in West Los Angeles. He graduated from University High School and from the University of Oregon. His career included management positions in the Union Oil Company of California and Transamerica Life Insurance Company of San Francisco. Early in his life he became interested in little known events in Pacific West Coast history and was determined to eventually write a book about them. Retired now, Tom and his wife Dolores live in Escondido.

Tom's third book, EVEN THE RIFFLE CAN BE EXCITING, is also available now.
