Brownie Bear and Butterscotch are guinea pigs that just finished up a long school year. Not only are they brother and sister pigs, but also the Best of Friends and they enjoy a very nice life with their parents. While their parents go to work, they experience their first day of summer vacation, having all kinds of fun and doing all the things that guinea pigs love to do!

About the Author

Leah C. McNeil currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, Blaine and their two guinea pigs, Brownie Bear and Butterscotch. She works as a Technical Analyst and has a Bachelor's degree in both Mathematics and Computer Information Systems. She has always loved to write and has written many unpublished short stories about her pets, but this is her first children's book. She is a volunteer for her local guinea pig rescue, and is a strong advocate for the proper care of guinea pigs, as well as all pets. She enjoys tap dancing, jogging, scuba diving, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

About the Illustrator

Judi Sharamitaro currently lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Sandy and their two children, Joe and Julie. She is also a Mom to four guinea pigs, two cats, two dogs, a parakeet, and a fish. Her illustrations feature work in art marker and pencil and she specializes in portraits of people, places, and animals. She is very active in her local animal rescue shelter and donates all proceeds from her artwork to the shelter.
