About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

This is a book written in verse that I wrote for my children many years ago. The message of the book told through the characters, the purple mouse and the big white cat is that all races and colors can get along if they try. Since I have written this story I have read it to various preschools through first grade classes. The children always enjoyed it and all of their teachers encouraged me to try to get it published. They felt it had a good and important message. The book has been beautifully illustrated by Anthony Damato who is a San Francisco Police Officer. My children and grandchildren have enjoyed this book and I hope that those who buy it will have a similar experience.

About the Author

Edmond was born in Ireland but has spent all of his adult life in America. He likes to write poetry, and when his children were very young he started to write stories in verse for them and continued that trend for his Grandchildren. Edmond is now retired from a very successful career with an insurance company and wants to devote time to getting his children's books published so that other children can enjoy them as much as his children and grandchildren have enjoyed them.
