About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information About the Book
In this, his second book, Steve Koelsch continues to display his unique conceptual gifts in the creation of memorable imagery and metaphor, across a wide variety of topics. If you are one of those people who is willing to pry into your own dark spaces, then these poems will be pearls that you will enjoy discovering.
The poems in this collection are honest, direct and adult. They are doorways into the thoughts and feelings of someone searching for understanding of the human condition. Most importantly, they are accessible, and offer evocative insights into the complexities of living that all adults experience.
Koelsch has an original poetic voice, with a word pallet uniquely his own.
In addition to being a poet, the author is also a sculptor and a visual artist. The front and back cover art was created by him as clay monoprints. Clay mono prints are created by inlaying clay slip into a clay slab, through a variety of techniques. Controlling moisture and pressure, the image is then printed onto a material called Reemay. The results are very bright colorful monoprints that many people initially mistake for oil paintings. You can view other prints by the author by visiting yessy.com, and koelschs gallery.
About the Author
Steve Koelsch has recently retired to focus on things that matter (art and poetry). He currently lives by himself near Sandusky, Ohio. In addition to his interest in writing, Steve is an accomplished artist, and is pursuing opportunities with clay mono printing (see book covers).
