Often too much emphasis is on learning and not enough on the mystery of God's plan for each of us. The ABC's of God! allows a 'reminder' of the hidden reality of God and influences parent/guardians to help their child see the hidden mystery of love in everyday life... right in their own backyard! Teaching the young child that there IS more good than evil in the world gives the tacit message that each of us was created for this 'good' in God's creation. Our choice is in the manner we live and see God's abundance. We can say Yes! to the beauty that abounds and keeps it safe. The letters of the alphabet may be easily translatable as a book for learning different languages - appreciating differences throughout our world. Both child and Adult could have fun with this!

About the Author

Anne Gentile is a former teacher who was led to pediatric Chaplaincy after working with Hospice. She is a poet and Spiritual Director who implements creative forms of compassionate care into the crisis culture of children's hospitals. Chaplain Gentile was honored to companion young Alex Marc Lane through his battle with a brain tumor. Alex's parents, Cathy and Peter Lane are extraordinary people whose friendship and generous spirit motivated the writing of The ABC's of God.

Cathy Lee Lane is a graphic illustrator. After the loss of her beloved child, Cathy became a volunteer in Chaplain Gentile's classroom and also in the Maria Fareri Children's hospital helping with youth engaged in 'Children Helping Children', The Treasure Tree Program. She is a model of healing through helping.
