Ten years after that her father the king of Earth burns the treaty between Earth and those on Shadow Earth. This action causes a hostage situation involving Aden the king’s own son. Aya leaves to save her brother taking with her Deirdra her best friend. Upon reuniting with her brother she is swept away after learning the truth about her father and the war between Earth and Terminance. She also is able to reunite with Tavorian her childhood sweetheart. On her journey she will experience a great love and a great loss. Aya will face her fears and attempt to stop a war by traveling to Terminance where the Hacksi live.
