About the Book

The Day the Ketchup Ran Out is about an imaginary town that wakes up one day... "on October the twelfth, to not a bottle of ketchup on anyone's shelf!"

The story proceeds to explain how such a catastrophic calamity affects the entire town's eating habits.



About the Author

Bruce R. Thompson has been a certified preschool teacher for 18 years. He roamed the world in his twenty-seventh year but now just plays the piano - professionally and for fun. He writes children's songs and children's books and teaches in the evening at Brookdale Community College. Married in '88 he has two children, ages 13 and 5. Currently he provides a variety of teacher-training workshops throughout the state of New Jersey.
