A Reluctant Cook's Cookbook

by Mary Sagerson; Illustrated by Holly Sagerson-Allen

116 pages; Black coil; cookbook; catalogue #05-2242; ISBN 1-4120-7347-2; US$15.00, C$17.25, EUR12.32, £8.63

Have you contracted the unfortunate habit of getting hungry everyday? Are you tired of eating (and paying for) fast food all the time? Don't panic! Here's a simple solution.

About the Book

Probably you never wanted to cook and you still don't. But you're looking at a cookbook?

Whatever the reason, you will find that it is, in fact, possible to prepare tasty food easily and quickly at home. This can often be done in a single pan for a minimum of clean up.

All of the recipes and ideas in this book are very simple. Still I am marking them with a system of stars to indicate just HOW simple.

* means that no cooking is required - just assemble the ingredients.
** means that some heating and/or mixing of ingredients is needed.
*** means that some actual cooking may be required, but it's worth the effort.

About the Author

Mary lives in rural Washington State with her husband, Ron, and has three grown children — some of whom like to cook, and some don't. Growing up, she rarely cooked but when she did she was never shy about changing a recipe to make it easier or just different. That has not changed.  She decided to write this book and see if she could make a case for how easily meals could be prepared.
