Does God intend our tithes to be determined by how much income we 're paid, Or does He intend our income to be determined by how much tithe we pay?

About the Book
The understanding that the church currently tithes under is that we receive our wages, and then we calculate ten percent of those wages (some by the gross, others by the net) and take that ten percent to the church as the first fruit of our increase.
But tithing determined by how much we make, or sowing determined by how much we harvest, is reaping and sowing, not sowing and reaping. Are we tithing according to biblical principle?
As generally practiced by the church today, the tithe is determined by our wage, whatever the wage is, whether we work for ourselves or someone else, based on the value set forth for the products and/or services that we produce. The wages and values set forth for the products and/or services that we produce are determined by this world's system, and Satan is ruler over this world's system. These words, spoken by Jesus, prove my point.
John 14:30
"I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me."
John 12:31
"Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out."
If Satan is ruler of this world, and therefore ruler over the world system, which controls the wages (the harvest), then Satan controls the tithes and offerings. And if Satan controls the tithes and the offerings, then Satan either controls or has great influence over the church's ability to carry out the Great Commission to seek and to save the lost. This can't be the case.
