About the Book

Colour Terminology 101 for Traditional Artists was created in an effort to give amateur artists, Grades 6 through 9 specifically, information about colour in a manner which is easy to understand. Children are deciding from a very young age to attend schools that offer Special Arts Programs. However, many art students have difficulty telling the difference between shade and a tone, or balance and harmony.

There are many words used to describe colour. Colour Terminology 101 contains the terms that traditional artists use the most. Each word is clearly illustrated and has an easy to understand definition. It is an enjoyable reference book for art students of all ages.
