About the Book

This book contains four short stories explaining to children where the color of birds came from, stuffed frogs, the lady bug and the origin of the thorn bush. The stories contain angels, fairy angels and St. Peter. There is a small boy and his grandmother, a small girl and her grandmother, both very poor. Another story has a mean, uncaring woman who was very rich.

About the Author

The author was born in a small village in Austria in 1948. Her family moved to Germany where she grew up. She married an American soldier and moved to Texas and raised two children. She continues to live in Texas along with her 10 grandchildren. As a young mother she would tell her children fictional short stories on different subjects and their origin on the spur of the moment. That story-telling continues to this day with the grandchildren.
