About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information About the Book
The Eagle's Scream is a fictional account of the adventures of a young couple caught in a world of change. By 2020, the world has had significant changes in the way it lives. The US has tired of politics as it has always been and a third party has emerged which has promised change. The new President has fulfilled campaign promises to the citizens who elected her; the US has withdrawn from the corrupt UN, sealed its borders, and instituted controls to contain terrorist. A man-made disaster in the Middle East contaminates the oil making it unusable. The disaster in the Middle East threatens the world when deadly gases are released into a jet stream and that causes the death of millions in Europe, Asia and Africa. When the gas threatens North America, the President directs the evacuation of the country. Not everyone gets the order to leave. This is the story of a young couple that come out of the Dakota Mountains and must find their way home. They must overcome hot and cold weather, gangs that have been left behind and are antagonistic and the uncertainty of a world without controls. They also are able to find others who, like themselves, are struggling to survive.
