About the Author
The author is a native Californian who was born in northern California. In 1928 during the depression he started working after school at a very young age of 11, settings pins in a bowling alley to earn money for a bicycle, then he purchased a bicycle and started a newspaper delivery route, (delivered the newspapers saying Pearl Harbor was attacked). During the war years he took every job that was offered and gathered experience in many occupations. He was one of the sailors aboard the USCG Cutter Mendota when it patrolled the North Atlantic Ocean on the International Ice Patrol, his ship was stationed in the area above where the Titanic sank, his job was to report and warn ships on the direction of any icebergs that were traveling down into the path of the shipping lane areas, by communicating with Morse code signals. He was discharged from the service in 1948 and started working at many different jobs and started to become a jack of all trades, over the years he has had a total of 57 different jobs, to list a few, Deckhand on tugboat, Ice delivery man, Postal service, Firefighter, File clerk supreme court, Bartender, Insurance salesman, Electro-plater, Bank messenger, body and fender mechanic, painter, pipe fitter, policeman, dishwasher, cook. senior research technician and the list goes on...
His lifetime achievements are: He's listed in the "Who's Who" in the south and southeast USA as a Senior Research Technician in the research labratory division at Dow Badishe, he was the inventor of two patents in field of polymer chemistry as a Laboratory Specialist. He authored and published scientific articles pertaining to laboratory work on marine offshore ocean sediments, as a Engineering Technician in Siemans Automotive he designed and engineered test equipment for research and development and received one Patent pertaining to ABS brake solenoids, and one Patent on a fuel injector apparatus.
