Quick Quack goes around the farmyard quietly doing good deeds for her friends Patty Pig, Lady Moo, and the three little hens, Middy, Maddy, and Maude. Never asking for anything in return, she is happy being able to help them.
One day, all of her friends, thinking it is her birthday, realize how special she is as, one by one, they remember the things she so lovingly does for them. Overcome with a feeling of love, they set out to create a day she will remember - a wonderful, special day.
About the Author

The author, Jeanni O'Neill Winston, is a Washingtonian, having lived in the Washington, D.C. area most of her life. She studied theatre, political science and art at The George Washington University, in Washington, D.C., and from a very early age started singing and acting on local stages as well as working on Capitol Hill. Her career in Washington politics spanned two decades and she served in both President John F. Kennedy and President Lyndon B. Johnson's administrations.
Her love for children has inspired much of her life's work, and she has dedicated many years to the growth and development of children of all ages. Her endearing illustrations are one of her many trademarks, and continue to bring smiles to all who see them.
In her spare time, she enjoys gourmet cooking and entertaining family and friends; playing for a very competitive senior women's basketball team that recently competed in the Senior Olympics; and, traveling with her family. She and her late husband, John, have four children and thirteen grandchildren, who lovingly refer to her as "Neanni." She resides in Chevy Chase, with family nearby.
