About the Book

In the autumn of 1884, Louie Riel had set up a temporary camp near Saint Boniface in Manitoba on the West bank of the Red River. Which consisted mostly of Métis, a few Scots and a few Natives Indians. There were twenty-five four-men canvas tents fashioned in a horseshoe with the open side facing the cold and swift running river. It was Gabriel Dumont's idea. In this manner no one could launched a coordinated attack from both side at the same time, and also, no one could retreat.

Louie Riel was expecting an attack from the dreaded North West Mounted Police. If the attack came from the East that meant they were coming by train from Ontario. It also meant that they would have to cross the cold water getting colder by the day. All Louie had to be concerned about was an attack from the West.

About the Author

I'm not new to writing. I've been struggling for twenty-six years without anyone taking the time to read any of my properties. I've written twenty or so movie scripts and lost nine of them. Now, I've started to transcribe all of my movie scripts into books. A Man's Last Cry will be first. I'm sixty-three years old and, I figure I don't have much time left. So, at this late date, I'm taking the opportunity to expose my first book to the general public.
