About the Author
It is said that 'necessity is the mother of invention'. Well, for Kipenie Anne D'Alessandro this was very true. Kipenie's stories began because she couldn't find a children's story that emphasized the importance of giving back to your community. She quickly realized that the only way to encourage our younger generation was to write the stories herself. Kipenie's own volunteer efforts provided real life stories that were easy to share with children, and would hopefully foster a love for community service. If Kipeinie's desire that her books will inspire adults and children to participate in their communities, schools and neighborhoods.
