About the Author
I was born and raised in Big Gully in the Foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in Southern Blount County. I've been surrounded by multi-generational families and farming for my entire life. My husband 'Ajax' and I have three children, Justin, Calaeb and Bailey. I am a vocational instructor at Carter High School in Knox County for Engineering Design and AutoCAD.
This book is one of the many stories that I've made up to entertain my children. My dad has a catfish pond on his farm and the time that he's spent with us, teaching and working has made a great impact on our lives. We've learned a lot of life's lessons on the farm. Sometimes the greatest ones were observed quietly, while watching those whom instruct us with wisdom and patience, gently molding our souls while the potter's clay is still pliable. These craftsmen in our life become our hero's, without whom we would become shapeless and without foundation or form.
Thanks Mom and Dad, I love you.
Thanks Ajax, I love you too.
Thanks to my children, I couldn't love you more.
