About the Book
Please join me over a cup of coffee as I tell stories that are funny, others that are sad. Some things we did turned out well, some we wish we had done differently, and some we wish we hadn't done at all. Some of the times we celebrate, other we regret. I do hope you enjoy as you leaf through the pages of my family's life and mine.
About the Author
I live a fairly simple life. I have comfort and peace of mind that comes from God, my true and everlasting companion. I came to write this book for my grandchildren and on and on when I realized that I had so many unanswered questions that I so much wished I had talked to my loved ones about before they passed away. I started out to write about me and my life while growing up on the farm, describing to the best of ability how things functioned and how, compared to the way things are done today, the primitive nature in which we lived from day to day, year to year. In giving an account of my life my offspring could view the way my life had been comparing it to their live today. As I began to write I found that I could pull many things from my mind that had taken place during my entire life and decided to write the full blown story of the wonders of life's ups and downs over a period of seventy-one years. As my years dwindle, even though my eyesight has become dim, and I can no longer jump like a "spring chicken" I can see more clearly now and make safer moves than ever before. I have learned over the years that I am never alone, Gods love is everlasting and He guides me every step of the way.
