About the Author

John Thios Jr, Ph.D., is a Human Resource Management Professional for the Federal Government. He has worked as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for several University counseling centers and has both researched and is experiencing Intermarriage with his wife of Peruvian descent. Dr. Thios has traveled widely and observed and experienced the Hispanic culture for more than 20 years. First, as a Naval Instructor in California, followed by his years of studying and researching in diverse population locales, starting with his B.S. in Psychology from the University of California-Davis, then to New Mexico, and then Texas, and finally to Washington, D.C. to complete his Doctorate in Education Counseling. He currently lives with his wife and daughter in Fairfax, VA.
