About the Book About the Author Excerpts Catalogue Information

About the Book

"Every morning butterflies fly past my window and flutter their beautiful wings," is the simple and pure observation of a child. The little girl in this story doesn't have to look beyond her mother's garden to be in awe of God's creations, especially the butterflies. She is shrouded in an innocent world of flowers, butterflies, birds, and sunshine, as a child should be. For the painted wings of the butterfly, the song of the bluebird, mommy's flowers, and the sky, this little girl looks to the heavens and thanks God.

As with everyone, however, she can sometimes be impatient. She wants very badly to feel the touch of the butterfly and attempts to do so unsuccessfully. In the end she realizes that she has to be patient and one will alight upon her.
