About the Book

The author discusses the shortcomings of Darwin's theory of evolution by critically reviewing the basic tenants of the theory. After showing it inadequacies, he proposes a new theory of evolution based on "Quantum Mechanics". He explains how a new species can arise as a result of "Decoherence". He, then, shows why the position taken by most scientists regarding religious is wrong, misleading and in some cases arrogant. By applying scientific principles he answers questions regarding unusual events such as dreams, intersensory prayers, ghosts, getting in touch with dead persons, what is life and other paranormal occurrences. He shows that ethics based on religious beliefs can serve the global community more justly. He proposes possible solution to cloning, abortion and to stem cell controversy based on religious ethics. He, then, proposes new trading principles, under the name of "Fair Trading" by which every trading partner shares the wealth rather than making the rich richer and the poor poorer.



About the Author

Dr. Yumlu was born is a small village near Istanbul, the third son to be born to the family. He was educated in a primary school where the teacher took the class from the first grade to fifth grade and the students loved their teacher. He spent high school years at a French Lycee where monks taught him and this is where he developed his love for science. He earned his Master's degree in Mechanical engineering form the Technical University of Istanbul and his PhD from the Imperial College, London, England in Columbus, Indiana and then to Hagerstown, Maryland in 1971, where Environment Canada, Hull, Quebec. He retired in 1994. He loves tennis and watches it on TV diligently. He is proud of the fact that he has not been to a movie theater for the last 28 years and never watches any sitcoms on TV since he finds then morally corrupt and degrading. Nonetheless, he enjoys nature programs, music muted and the history channel. Their 14 grandchildren keep them very busy. He and his wife enjoy traveling in the U.S. and abroad. He is the author or co-author of 12 technical papers and a U.S. patent.
