Open Visions: In Verses

by Olakunle Oladipo Oni

101 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #06-0145; ISBN 1-4120-8390-7; US$12.47, C$14.34, EUR10.24, £7.17

Open Visions is a presentation of basic truths in an expressive and insightful way, thereby triggering the appraising aspect of the reader's consciousness. The reader now sees a kind of outlook to people, to the world, to himself.

About the Book

It doesn't matter what language the outside speaks. It doesn't matter what signals it brings. The mind is sovereign. It is the region where a sense of utopia is built. It is the realm where possibilities are seen. These are the unifying lines for the core verses in the Open Visions collection where the reader is taken through a series of "mind-screening" and incisive verses. Discover your world in a new light in these verses. Let some insights influence your thinking.

About the Author

Olakunle Oladipo Oni holds a Bsc in Food Science and Technology from The University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. Though he has a scientific background, he discovered he has philosophical inclinations

As a young boy, Olakunle showed interest in drawing, singing and reading (especially story books). He didn't have a keen interest in writing at this time. It was in the higher institution that his writing interest soared.

Kunle's writings can be viewed as inferences, drawn from personal observations and perceptions of his surrounding world. To him, he is presenting existing truths and facts about life, people, the world, situations in a certain light and depth which he wants people to embrace and appreciate. He takes writing as a predominant art of his at this time. He is equally a lover of music.
