The FIDE (World Chess Federation) Laws Of Chess cover over-the-board play (the basic rules of play and competition rules), coming into force on 1 July 2005.

In this textbook of 116 pages, the essential rules have been illustrated and ordered to make it easy for people learning or teaching how to play chess games or tournaments. It is from the authentic text of the official Laws (English) or from its Portuguese and Spanish translations.
