About the Book

Woopsi Daisy Drives to Junk Food Junction has been created to show younger children the difference between healthy food and junk food. On a very basic level children understand the difference between what is good and bad for you to eat. Children remember that "...melting chocolate sticks to your bones!" "...are you hungry Woopsi Daisy? A slippery pizza turns your stomach and makes your muscles lazy!"

Woopsi Daisy is hungry and her tummy is rumbling...rumble...grumble...rumble. Her special car is made from fresh fruit and vegetables. On her journey to Junk Food Junction the car slowly falls apart as pieces of the 'healthy' car are replaced by Junk Food! The 'Hunger Mongers' eat cars. Will they eat her car? Count their teeth as you get closer to Junk Food Junction! What will Woopsi Daisy eat to get rid of the 'hungry noises in her tummy?'

About the Author

Anthony Robinson is a father and author with a background in radio. He has created Woopsi Daisy for younger children, as a character they can identify with in the daily mistakes they make growing up.

"Growing up I made so many mistakes, and the earliest mistakes involved food. Given a choice I'd eat not just one lolly but the whole bag instead of an apple. When I was sick afterwards mum would always say... Woopsi Daisy. It was a small mistake, that I had to make in order to learn. And that is what a Woopsi Daisy is...a small mistake I had to make."

Anthony enjoys all outdoor sports and time spent with his family and friends. He will admit he's a bit childish and that's what he loves most, letting the inner child out every day and putting it on paper.
