About the Book About the Author Excerpts

About the Book

With teacher colleagues and friends, over a thirty year period, the writer of these poems has walked more than three-and-a-half thousand miles of English countryside.

Co-walker, Bryan Hudson, began a pictoral history - what his mates vulgarly call his snaps - in fact fine photographs. His fellow ramblers, idle fellows all, were content. But, being the guy he is, Bryan assertively suggested someone should also keep a written record. His eye fixed itself on Roy Hinks. Duly intimidated, his victim put pen to paper. At first, just prose accounts. Eventually, each write-up was signed off with a poem. This – An Anthology of Wayfaring Words – is the result.

About the Author

Roy Hinks is a retired English teacher. He has been a winner and runner-up in a number of poetry competitions and has had poems published in magazines.
