Leo got more than he bargained for when he begged Restan & his grandfather to go back for the rainbow trout.
About the Book
Leo, a not yet seven year old, discovers remarkable stuff about his rather eccentric grandfather.
Stay with him as he takes his first rainbow ride to 'Obwarin', the gateway to the old man's childhood.
Watch his eight year old grandfather sail his boot polish tin down the river in a race with his friends and their encounter with 'Bogga' the bully and 'Tickla' the strange man with the rolled umbrella who catches fish with his bare hands.
Finally how Leo manages to get his grandfather out of serious trouble and get to take two rainbow trout home for his Mum And Dad.
Book Two in this series, Up The Tump, is also available from Trafford Publishing.
About the Author
Born into a Welsh mining community during the early part of the Second World War the Ninth Child is the youngest in a family of high achievers.
Fiercely proud of the working class ethic our author gained a fine arts degree and taught for 30yrs in junior & secondary education. With a grown up family and grandchildren these illustrated stories are a belated acknowledgement to his own children of something he would love to have done for them.
Inspired by and dedicated to the grandchildren who have brought such joy and happiness to everyone, they reflect a spirit of; better late than never.
