Curley, Swirley & Twirley's Pleasure Treasure Adventure is a colorful, original, and inspirational story book about three funny and very smart hermit crab friends who share their worldly adventures and discoveries with children of all ages.

About the Author

Carmen Gonzalez, "Twin A" was born on July 4, 1958 in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, Lydia and Carmelo. "Twin B" is brother George and she has a younger brother, Robert.

Carmen is a 1976 graduate of Dodge Vocational High School, Bronx, N.Y. She served the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1979. She then moved to California and earned an Associates degree in Accounting from Gavilan College, Gilroy, CA in 1983. Carmen held several interesting and some odd jobs while going to school. By 1997, she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business and Information Systems (B.S.B.I.S.) from the University of Phoenix extension courses in San Jose, CA, while working as a Data Center & Network Operations Center Computer Operator for several major Silicon Valley companies.

Carmen enjoys bowling, reading, walking, sewing, wood scrolling, Latin dancing, fireworks at the beach and lots of friends. She sponsors a beautiful young girl from the Honduras via "The Children's Christian Fund" organization. Once, Carmen roller skated 13 hours in one day for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Missouri while in the U.S. Army and has walked and ran numerous 5k and 10k races for various charitable organizations. Carmen is a member of the "Human Rights Campaign" and participates in the annual "Bowl for Kid's sake" event for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization in Santa Clara County, CA.

"Curley, Swirley & Twirley's Pleasure Treasure Adventure" is Carmen's first book.

Her inspiration came from the peace brought on by patiently watching the hermit crabs go about their days and nights while the world is in turmoil with its catastrophes and power struggles.
