About the Author

R. Craig Smith, Lead Trial Consultant with the Trial Design Group, has worked with lawyers and law firms for over 23 years, in Federal, state and municipal courts throughout the country, with emphasis on presentation strategies, demonstrative evidence, visual aspects of information processing, witness preparation and jury selection. He has designed and taught Continuing Legal Education programs and seminars for local and state bar associations as well as for many law firms and legal associations. He has participated on CLE panels with such organizations as the Practicing Law Institue, the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, California Emplyoment Lawyers Association and many others. Over the past 15 years Mr. Smith has written numerous articles for the legal press in five western states and has brought his experience and prior writings into a single sourcebook for trial lawyers in this book. He is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants (ASTC).
