Living in a Dictatorship: The Blair Years

by Norman Utton

385 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #06-1377; ISBN 1-4120-9621-9; US$24.80, C$28.52, EUR20.37, £14.26

This book follows the failings of the New Labour Party/Blair since 1997, and gives the true reasons for the Iraq war, instead of the lies we were told.

About the Book

This book follows New Labours / Blair's pledges to the British public since they came to power in 1997, and shows how in every single case Blair broke those pledges.

At the same time this book shows that Blair has turned the UK from a democracy into both a dictatorship, and police state with true Brits having absolutely no say in the way their country is run, and at the same time being afraid to speak their mind for fear of being prosecuted for offending some other religion or race. It also explores in some depth the lies and deceit used to go to war with Iraq, with considerable and strong evidence about these lies, and the way Blair and Bush lied to their respective Governments and citizens about the whole lead up to the war. There is clear evidence that between them both Bush and Blair had taken the decision to go to war with Iraq with or without UN approval, prior to democratic approval. This book also gives the true reasons as to why the war with Iraq was started.

This book also exposes the way that Blair is well on the way to handing over the sovereignty of the UK to Europe, and the way EU Laws prevent us from deporting traitors to the UK by way of the Human Rights Bill. It also shows the major immigration problems in the UK, the ever rising crime with knifings and murder becoming almost daily events, plus the way the innocent are criminalized, and the criminals go virtually unpunished, and the failure of the Blair Government to provide for the elderly in terms of both pensions and care with the total collapse of both the NHS and Welfare state, which were once the envy of the world.

About the Author

I am a 67-year old retired Company Director, and I have no strong leanings towards any political party. However, as a UK citizen I have become more and more concerned, and frustrated about the way my country's traditional values are being eroded under the Blair Government, as he turns us from a Democracy into a Dictatorship.

My main concern is for my Grandchildren, and their future freedom in all the things they want to do.

I grew up in a very much working class background, and enjoyed all the privileges, and sound Health Care of that time. I have always been proud to be a Brit, and always "flown the flag" in my world travels. In my job I was charge of worldwide sales of some £98 million, and have been fortunate enough to visit just about any country in the world you can name, including more than 300 visits to the USA, and even more to Europe.

By profession I am a qualified Aeronautical Engineer.
