About the Author and Illustrator
Christina Ann Phile-Traverso, American, is a private English teacher in Genoa, Italy. When not teaching English to Italian youth between three and sixteen, she writes poems and stories for children. She is a wife and mother of three boys who thoroughly enjoy imagining her as a sea mermaid or garden scarecrow! She has written a "sequel" to If I Were Not Your Mother and hopes to have it illustrated and published later in 2006. You can visit the author's website at www.ifiwerenotyourmother.com.
Italian artist, Lorenzo Traverso is currently an engineer for a cruise line based out of Miami, Florida. When not sailing the big blue seas, or flying over them, he paints fine art and doodles (literally) his days away with his wife and three sons. If I Were Not Your Mother is his first children's book. He has already begun illustrating his second children's book, which he hopes to have published later in 2006. To view other works by Lorenzo, please visit his website at www.lorenzotraverso.com.
