About the Book

This book contains poems of a different form; they are my thoughts and feelings about childhood abuse, self-harm and depression. Some poems were very hard to write, and they may be shocking, but they are the truth. My way of coping with memories and flashbacks was to write poetry — to express my feelings. Not all of the poems are hard core, a few are witty and showcase my sense of humour.

I found my voice and courage to speak out. The aim of this book is to help others find their courage to speak out as well. We are survivors — not victims.
