While searching for his lost sheep, Rhone and his friend, Obregon the hawk, discover a narrow passage leading to a lost valley where dinosaurs still exist.

About the Book
In this fourth book about the adventures of "Rhone", the heroic "dog with golden eyes," we meet a new friend of Rhone's, a red tailed hawk named Obregon. When Rhone realizes that several of his sheep are missing, he and Obregon begin their search; Rhone on the land and the hawk in the air. Obregon leads Rhone to a rock fortress where Rhone discovers a narrow passageway leading into a beautiful, lush valley surrounded by dark cliffs. The missing sheep are indeed here, and so are creatures long since vanished from the outer world. Somehow dinosaurs have survived in this mysterious place, and Rhone manages to herd his sheep back through the passage just in time as they are chased by a ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex.
