About the Book

The author's personal experience over 30 years living and working beside a river that floods. As well as doing engineering on other rivers with the potential of flood.

Mr. Mosby's engineering experience reflects the same knowledge that the Chinese used 4,000 years ago. They removed river rock and debris at a gallon at a time on their backs. This debris was then placed on the banks of the river to contain the river while it was flooding.


About the Author


Wayne Mosby grew up in Eastern Washington where he and his brought spent many hours on horseback riding in and around the Yakima River.

His college schooling was interrupted by WWII. He joined the Navy and was sent to Columbia University for Officers Training. After graduation he was sent to Raleigh State and received a degree in diesel engineering. After serving 18 months in the Aleutian Islands as an engineering officer on a Naval ship, he returned to the University of Washington and received a BA in pharmacy.

He presently is a registered contractor and still works at 83 years old.
