About the Author
Author Ronald Lucien, a native of Brooklyn, New York, lives with his wife and three children in northeast Pennsylvania. He has been creatively writing for many years. “It is a true joy writing for children because you get a chance to search your soul for that innocence which may have gotten lost in adulthood.” After having three little ones, Ron believes he will have material to write about for years to come. “Watching my children grow and witnessing all of the obstacles they face on a daily basis, I decided to create stories which touch on these challenges. Personifying them and having a positive character overcome these obstacles, will hopefully give children added confidence in overcoming their own fears, apprehensions and insecurities.” He graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and starred on their division I basketball team. He currently works for a hedge fund on Wall Street and attributes his success, focus and perseverance to all the lessons learned both on and off the court.
Illustrator Edwin Diaz resides in Teaneck NJ and studied Graphic Web Design at the Cittone Institute in New Jersey. He is currently a Graphic Design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He has received the Human and Social Sciences Award from Rochester University and the Art Award from Rhode Island School of Design in 2005. His work has earned him 1st place in both state and national levels for the New Jersey Soil Conservation Poster Contest.
Although his skills have been self taught, Edwin started drawing and painting from an early age and continues to work through many mediums from oil and acrylic to sculpture and mixed media.
