Robin Propst Kile lives with her husband, Elwood, and her border collie, Mollie, in Pendleton County, West Virginia. She is an elementary school teacher who also enjoys writing. She has written three other books: Welcomed! Scruffy's Story; I am A Miracle! Scout's Story; ...And They Named Me Hope. She is currently working on her fifth book, Out on the Porch.
