About the Book

While conducting in-home consultations and providing hands-on help to hundreds of people struggling with clutter, Professional Organizer Alison Roberts noticed an interesting pattern: clients were eager to learn what products or solutions they could purchase in order to alleviate their cluttered situation. Many people failed to recognize that it was their own patterns of consumption that promoted chaos and clutter in the first place!

The creation of Clutter’s Dirty Secret served two purposes: first of all it kept it’s author sane by providing an outlet for the angst that accompanies the recognition that our mindless consumption is impacting the planet. Secondly, it provides dozens of practical strategies on how to get organized and make adjustments to lead a more authentic, simplified life. Roberts, who is not immune to the challenges of staying organized, shares real-life examples and humourous anecdotes of clutter traps and storage solutions. With numerous resources and suggestions, this book will not only impact your life it will change your future.

About the Author

After volunteering in a remote fishing village in rural Kenya, Alison Roberts returned to her life in Canada with a new appreciation for relationships, community and personal well being. She shrugged off her materialistic lifestyle and became an advertising critic. After systematically de-cluttering her own life, she proceeded to help thousands of others discover a new way of living that revolves around the truth, less is more.
