A married woman's love for a mysterious stranger leads her on a path of murder, deception and betrayal for which she pays the ultimate price.

About the Book

Laura Bradford has been married to her husband Gary for twenty years, she loves him deeply and is oblivious to the fact that he disrespects her and takes her for granted. On a shopping trip to the Mall she encounters a mysterious stranger in a coffee shop who bewitches her, and makes her doubt the love she has for her husband.

Weeks pass by without seeing him again until they meet unexpectedly in town. After sharing coffee he offers to take her home in his chauffeur driven Rolls Royce. She feels he is hiding something, but has only his name to go on...David Carmichael.

Laura confides in her best friend Trudy who is a journalist, and she uncovers the truth about him. As she falls more in love with David, her own marriage starts to crumble with the lies and deceit. Eventually her husband discovers the truth and confronts David leading to tragic circumstances. With the police now involved Laura and Trudy desperately try to hide the truth, but time is running out. The pressure increases when she thinks that her best friend is lying to her and her world starts to fall apart.

Just when she thinks she cannot take anymore, another devastating blow shatters her already fragile heart and she sacrifices everything in the name of love.

About the Author

Born in the hustle and bustle of central London in 1956 I was brought up in a sleepy suburban town in Kent, England.

A romantic at heart, with a vivid imagination, I enjoyed writing stories from an early age. My teachers would endlessly complain about the lengths of my essays and refuse to read them.

Story ideas are constantly whirling around in my head and the conception of this particular one was born out of time spent pursuing a favorite pastime, tending my garden. The acting talents of Alan Rickman also inspired me to write this, and it is him whom I have portrayed as one of the characters.

With my two children now grown up, I have finally found the time to realize my dream, and with the encouragement of family and friends, to have a book published. Hopefully it will not be the last!
