An appealing system of exercising that can be done anywhere, using only the body and the imagination. Start with these delightful imaginings; make up others. No more couch-potato you!

About the Book
Getting off the couch couldn't be easier. No need for expensive exercise equipment. No need for membership in a distant club. Here's an appealing system of exercising that can be done anywhere, using only the body and the imagination to start things off and keep them going.
The book's series of fourteen delightful imaginings will get you jumping, dancing, stretching, and almost flying, as you imagine yourself putting the stars to bed, waking up the sun, heading into outer space, and more. These exercises work indoors and out, alone or in groups, for young and old.
The author developed these exercises for herself, but is happy to share them with others. Her colorful illustrations invite you into a world you hadn't imagined before. Once there, and with Jane Rinck's gentle encouragement, you'll be exercising frequently and eagerly. You'll even be making up your own exercises, from your own imaginings. Exercising with imagination is able simultaneously to serve your body, delight your mind, and keep you from ever returning to couch-potato existence. You'll be smiling as you keep yourself in shape.
About the Author

Jane Rinck graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in 1941. She earned an M.S. at the New York School of Social Work and worked briefly as a social worker, doing community organizing. She also worked for the Institute of Public Administration in New York City, doing research on municipal administration. Urged to study law, she went to night school at New York University, earning her law degree in 1956; she then worked for a private law firm in New Jersey for 18 years, winding up as a full partner. She traveled widely during this time, and spent much time on her 30-foot ketch moored in Chesapeake Bay. She sold her boat to buy land in Vermont and has now been a Vermonter for 20 years. Her memorable essays have appeared in the Vermont News-Guide and the Christian Science Monitor, and her first book, Vermont Mountain Air for People Stuck Inside, is much loved by visitors and residents alike. She has played the violin for many years in amateur orchestras, and has studied sculpture and produced a number of works. Jane has never been without a beloved dog, and she now lives in a house halfway up a mountain, on a dirt road, with a very intelligent border collie named Bear. She was unanimously voted Citizen of the Year for the Town of Pawlet, 2006.
