About the Book

This is the author's life story, told in an uncommonly graphic style. Severely abused as a child and continuing to be victimized as an adult, Susan lived a confused double existence, as a respected attorney and administrative law judge at Two World trade Center in Manhattan and, after hours, as a partner with her ex-husband in a drugged out, violent lifestyle.

Her actions were a desperate attempt to block out memories that were too painful even to remember, let alone cope with in any effective way. However, Susan refused to give up reaching for what she never had and what we all need- love.

At the mature age of 52, Susan made Jesus her Savior and Lord and was thus born again. As her relationship with the Lord matured and became more intimate, a series of miracles began to take place, inside and on the outside of the author. For example, her inside scars of abuse and powerful drug addiction were lifted from her. In additional, the Lord straightened Susan's curved spine from 37 degrees to 0 degrees!

It is the author's desire to encourage all persons that it is possible to overcome even the worst of situations when steps Into The Light (and the love) of our mighty God.

About the Author

Into the light is an autobiography by Susan P. Carswell. In it, Susan related the amazing "trials" and events in her life that, at the mature age of 52, finally led her to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

In it, the author leads the reader through a breath-taking series of near death experiences, the agony of and recovery form sexual abuse and drug addiction, the grief of watching her daughter change from a healthy beautiful infant to a quadriplegic, profoundly retarded state due to medical malpractice, the misery of failed relationships and the Supernatural straightening of her spine from 75 degrees, just to name a few.

In it she joyfully relates how her Lord and Savior delivered and made her an overcomer in the Lord through these trials!

Susan, a retired attorney and administrative law judge, lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her disabled daughter, Veronica and her three cats. She is also the proud mother of James, 25 and Jose 19. She is member of the Church of Jacksonville and devotes her life to delighting in serving the Lord, and seeking to expand His kingdom through intercession and evangelism,

Into the Light is a book that Christians and non-Christians alike will find very difficult to lay aside.
