A Chapbook of Chapel Ideas
by Lorie Odegaard
284 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #06-2033; ISBN 1-4251-0276-x; US$21.00, C$24.15, EUR17.25, £12.08
A Chapbook of Chapel Ideas contains ideas, both thematic and structural, for worship in The Chapel of Infinite Love; these ideas include myths, symbols, litanies, prayers, songs, poetry, aphorisms, messages, and literary interpretations.
About the Book
A Chapbook of Chapel Ideas is a companion to The Goddess and The God: A Synthesis, both by Lorie Odegaard. Its purpose is to provide a flexible framework within which Chapelians* can ritualize the Twenty Philosophies of The Chapel of Infinite Love (as put forth in A Synthesis).
Within its pages interested parties will find commentaries on formal rituals and spiritual symbols; reflections on ancient festivals; ideas for seasonal Chapel Festivals and their dedication to the Co-Equal Female and Male Deities; general formats for Services and Ceremonies; and suggestions for Home Rites, Prayer Rugs, Worship Windows, Memory Candles, Initiation Rites, and the like. These mosaics aren't Mosaics in the traditional sense but are merely composites for believers who appreciate structure and ideas from which to proceed.
* The word Chapelians refers to believers whose outlook is international rather than national and whose perceptions have risen above the Theological to the truly Spiritual plane.
