About the Book
Alex Goes To The Workshop is a fictional story that is fun for both children and adults. The story follows the plight of Alex, a young car who dreams of being a racing car just like Grandad, and lives with parents Conney and Max.
At the weekend Alex usually goes to visit Grandad, who always has a good story to tell. Today Alex feels unwell. Grandad offers to take Alex to his mechanics to be repaired, but Alex is naturally nervous.
Follow their journey to the workshop and see how Grandad comforts Alex along the way.
Dave Ball has created some charming illustrations to accompany the text which include many humorous images to delight both children and adults. Hidden in the pages are clues to a classic movie which has a famous chase scene. Can you spot which one it is?
