Fritz tells his humourous, often touching adventure story. Included is his much-publicized catnapping that sent Salt Spring Island on a frantic search to get him back, and made him famous.

About the Book
Fritz, a real live cat, lives at the cinema on Salt Spring Island in Bitish Columbia, Canada. He was born to a once wild bush-cat in a dresser drawer, and his favourite pastime was to curl up on a warm lap and watch movies on TV. He especially liked the one about cats in Paris, so he decided, when fully-grown, to set out for the city with the "spectacular tower".
Fritz himself tells his adventurous story of how he wandered through fields and woods before arriving at an old community hall. He was thrilled to discover it's huge "living-room" full of comfy seats and a huge TV screen where movies were shown.
Making himself at home on various laps ( sometimes with surprising results!), Fritz even got to go up into the forbidden projection booth.
He was much-loved and pampered by the many people who came to the hall, and even had two houses built especially for him. He even had his own special tower!
One day, however, a stranger drove by and catnapped Fritz! The whole island was frantic to get him back, and a much-publicized search got underway. It was reported on the radio, in the newspapers and even on the TV news! Fritz became famous overnight.
In his story, he often mentions characters from movies, so you can have fun trying to guess them! Humourous and often touching, this story of a real "local hero" will appeal to the child in everyone.
