About the Book

Look What's Under Your Feet: Grass invites young children to explore the world around them. Children in the illustrations play outside catching a frog, losing the frog, playing hide and seek, while the text explains the amazing life of grass and other plants under their feet. It concludes, "Look what's under your feet and walk carefully, everything under your feet is at work."

The book describes natural phenomena that will appeal to the curiosity of a child, or can open the eyes of a young person who has had little opportunity to experience unpaved out-of-doors. Ants and frogs among the grass will give the child a sense of relative size. The book is twenty-eight pages in length. It will especially appeal to prereaders and early readers. The vibrant colors of the plants and animals are accurate and will delight children and adults alike.

A second book, Look What's Under Your Feet: Soil, is in preparation.
